Google Caffeine – what is it?

Filed under: google, search engine optimization — Tags: , , — webcubic @ 11:16 am

There has been a lot of buzz about Google Caffeine so we thought it was about time we commented on it.

Google Caffeine is Google’s next generation search infrastructure.  Google’s objective is to “push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions.”

Google’s objectives are apparently satisfied because it is currently being deployed to one Google data center.  Later, Google Caffeine will be deployed to other locations one data center after another.  This broader deployment will take place after the holidays.
